A Cinematic Journey in Time
A special tour with the director of The Jerusalem Film and Television Fund
Outside. Twilight. Cinema Hostel.
Few people think of Jerusalem as a cinematic capital, but from the first days of cinema to the present day, many scenes from famous films have been shot in the city. During the tour, we will hear rare anecdotes about what that took place behind the scenes of films that we love and remember, tour places that were cinemas in the past— Cinema Hostel, the Orion Cinema, the Rex Cinema—and visit locations where scenes from August Snow by Hagai Levy, Someone to Run With (directed by Oded Davidoff), Three Days and a Child (directed by Uri Zohar), and other films were filmed. We will end the tour at the new Rex Cinema, a Jerusalem cinema club, and watch the animated film Falling in Love with Rex by Maayan Engelman and Eliran Peled.
