Galit Dahan Carlibach
Born in 1981 in Sderot, and grew up in Sderot, Ashadod, and Jerusalem. A novelist, tour guide, and essayist. Recipient of the 2014 Prime Minister’s Prize for Literature, the 2013 ACUM Dvora Omer Award, and the 2014 National Library of Israel Pardes scholarship for young writers. A two-time winner of Einat Prize for Science Fiction and Fantasy. Her book Foglandia, was shortlisted for the Geffen Prize. Her stories, poems, essays, and articles have been published on different platforms, including Iton 77, Moznaim, Shabbat, Ynet, and more. Her short story Linber, was included in the bilingual German-Hebrew collection We Don’t Forget, We Go Dancing, and won first prize in the competition of the online magazine Berlin Today.
